How to Use

Important PSP Preset Limitation

This page has no PSP-specific resolution, profile, or level preset. PSP models and firmware can reject an MP4 even after H.264/AAC re-encoding, so the result must be verified on real hardware.

Use Re-encode for this task. Stream copy only changes the container around existing codecs and cannot make an unsupported HEVC or H.264 profile compatible with PSP.

Calculation Logic

The shared converter uses FFmpeg WebAssembly. Re-encode mode runs H.264 with the ultrafast preset at CRF 23 and AAC at 128 kbps. It does not explicitly set PSP resolution, H.264 profile, level, frame rate, or firmware-specific metadata.

Stream copy performs no codec conversion and adds no new encoding loss, but it is unsuitable when the existing codec is the source of a PSP playback error. Re-encoding is lossy and uses more CPU and RAM.

FAQ

Why do some MP4 files play perfectly on my PC but show "Unsupported Data" on my PSP?
